The Italian club have conceded more points (193) and more tries (29) than any other side in the Amlin Challenge Cup this season and are currently rooted to the bottom of Pool 4.
Only once have Viadana gone on a worse run in the competition, when they lost seven in a row in between 2005-2006.
Bayonne are still in with a chance of qualification to the knockout stages but they will need a win to keep up the pressure on pool leaders London Wasps.
The French side have won 11 of their last 15 games in the competition, with their other three defeats and a draw all coming at the hands of Wasps.
Bayonne have won all three of their previous meetings against Viadana but didn’t have it all their own way when the two sides clashed in 2009, scraping a narrow 24-22 victory.
They currently sit second behind Wasps on 10 points, with the English Premiership club out in front on 14 ahead of their home game against Grenoble on Sunday.

The hosts put up an early fight despite conceding a converted try to Guillaume Rouet after just seven minutes. They hit back six minutes later with a try of their own from Gonzalo Padro and soon took the lead. Daniel Rudolf Yakopo claimed their second try and Juan Pablo Sanchez converted to make it 12-7 with the conversion.
Bayonne soon hit back with a try from Bastien Fuster, converted by Martin Bustos Moyano before a yellow card for Viadana’s Padro allowed them to extend their lead. Opeti Fonua got their third try and Moyano added another two points with the conversion.
Further tries from Lisiate Fa’aoso and David Roumieu, who got two in quick succession, gave the visitors a convincing 40-12 lead at the break.
Within five minutes of the re-start they had extended their lead with an unconverted try from Santiago Fernandez.
Viadana did manage to put some more points on the board on 48 minutes when Gianmarco Amadasai grabbed a try, converted by Sanchez, but from then on it was all Bayonne.
Moyano scored a try of his own, which he went on to convert, and then added a second just before the hour mark. The conversion was handed to Mathieu Belie, who was successful, and five minutes later he did it again after Fa’aoso got his second try of the day.
Matthieu Ugalde Joe Rokocoko got two more tries in the last 12 minutes. Belie converted both as the French side went top, at least until London Wasps play Grenoble tomorrow.
