Tongan winger Aisea Havili scored a hat-trick of tries as Worcester stormed into the European Challenge Cup semi-finals on Saturday.

The Warriors beat Northampton Saints 34-25 in an entertaining match in front of nearly 10,000 fans at Franklin’s Gardens, out-scoring the home side five tries to four.

The Saints opened the scoring with a try to backrower Paul Tupai, but Frenchman Thomas Lombard replied for Worcester, and Havili added two tries to give his side a deserved 17-15 lead at the break.

Tupai’s second try gave the Saints a brief lead, but Havili completed his hat-trick in the final minutes and the Warriors were in the final four.
