London Irish will be looking for a better campaign in the Heineken Cup this time around after only winning one match last season.

The Exiles’ sole success came in a 29-16 home win over Ulster and Brian Smith’s men will hope to equal that feat against Benetton Treviso.

Treviso travel to the Madejski Stadium hoping for their first win on English soil since beating Harlequins 22-19 at the Stoop in the 1999/2000 season.

The sides have never met before in Europe’s top tournament but with home advantage, the Guinness Premiership side should be too strong for the Italians, who have gone 13 games without a win in the competition.
