Clermont Auvergne edged a Heineken Cup classic 37-27 last weekend and denied defending champions London Wasps a crucial losing bonus-point in the final minute.
The French outfit are packed with international star quality and showed just why they are contenders to win the competition at the Parc des Sports Marcel-Michelin but they haven’t won away in four matches.
Ian McGeechan’s side need to do the business at Adams Park and before that last minute blip, had shown all the signs of hallmark champions with hungry and impressive wins over Munster and Llanelli Scarlets.
If the two-time champions Wasps avoid defeat on Saturday, it would extend their unbeaten Heineken Cup home record to 10 matches.
