Edinburgh Rugby will look to maintain their winning run in Challenge Cup Pool 4 against Krasny Yar at BT Murrayfield on Friday evening. The Scottish side are the top scorers in the Challenge Cup this season, averaging 53 points and 7.7 tries per game after three rounds.

· This will be just the second meeting between the clubs after Edinburgh beat Krasny Yar 73-14 in Round 2, the Guinness PRO14 side’s biggest win in Europe.

· Edinburgh have recorded the best tackle success rate this season (90%), while Krasny Yar’s success rate of 80% is the lowest.

· The Russian side boasted the top ball carrier and tackler of any team in Round 3; Victor Gresev made 23 carries, while his fellow flanker Viktor Arhip made 23 tackles.

Edinburgh Rugby maintained their perfect record in the European Rugby Challenge Cup with a emphatic 78-0 triumph over Krasny Yar, scoring a remarkable 12 tries at BT Murrayfield on Friday evening.

  • South African winger Duhan van der Merwe was the lone man to double up on tries, bagging himself a brace, while Chris Dean, Lewis Carmichael, Jamie Ritchie, Blair Kinghorn, Sean Kennedy, Neil Cochrane, Darcy Graham, Damien Hoyland, Solomoni Rasolea and Cameron Fenton all getting their name on the scoresheet in a thrilling rout for the hosts. 
  • A bonus-point victory means Edinburgh Rugby are now 13 points clear at the Pool 4 summit, with second-placed Stade Francais Paris taking on London Irish on Saturday as the competition for places in the knockout stages heat up. 
  • Van der Merwe dotted down the opening try of the match within 90 seconds and Edinburgh Rugby were 33-0 up after 22 minutes with Dean, Carmichael, Ritchie and Kinghorn all crossing the whitewash in an impressive opening quarter. 
  • Scrum-half Kennedy and hooker Cochrane added to the tally before the break to give the hosts a resounding 47-0 lead at the interval and the pain continued for Krasny Yar shortly after the restart. 
  • Graham was over the line two minutes into the second period, before Hoyland, Raselea and Fenton all added their name to the lights in a glistening Edinburgh Rugby display, which will strike fear into their Pool counterparts.
