Dragons coach Paul Turner has labelled Saturday’s trip to Italy to face Benetton Treviso as a ‘must-win’ match as they bid to keep their slender Heineken Cup hopes alive.

The Welsh region sit rooted at the bottom of Pool 1 after suffering two defeats to Perpignan and London Irish and need to put points on the board quickly to reach the last eight for the first time.

Turner rested Wales internationals Colin Charvis, Rhys Thomas, Luke Charteris and Kevin Morgan for last weekend’s EDF Energy Cup tie versus Gloucester but should be at full-strength at the Stadio Comunale di Monigo.

The Italians pushed Perpignan all the way three weeks ago and coach Franco Smith will send his ever-improving men out looking to achieve their first home win in the Heineken Cup since May 2005 against Bourgoin.
