Bucharest Wolves grabbed an emphatic bonus point win over Italian side Banca Monte Crociati in Romania this afternoon winning 34 v 7.

Wolves repeated last year’s victory over Crociati in style, dominating the game with wing Marian Apostol collecting a hat-trick.

Apostol opened the scoring after just six minutes with full-back Florin Vlaicu adding the conversion and then a penalty two minutes later as the hosts got off to a flying start at Stadionul Arcul de Triumf.

Apostol then touched down for his second score after 20 minutes with Vlaicu again clinical with the conversion as Wolves stretched their lead out to 17 v 0.

Bucharest then lost Mihai Macovei to the sin bin and whilst the flanker was sidelined for ten minutes Crocitai opened their account with Carlo Festuccia touching down just before the interval.

The second period was all about the hosts, Vlaicu kicking a penalty before Apostol scored his third try.

Replacement lock Christian Munteanu rounded off the scoring with six minutes to go and again Vlaicu added the extras.
