Worcester Warriors' versatile forward Matti Williams
Worcester Warriors will be hoping to make it three wins from as many matches in this season’s Challenge Cup when they travel to face Pau at Stade du Hameau for the first time on Friday night.
- This will be the first meeting between Pau and Worcester Warriors. The TOP 14 side have won each of their last two games against Gallagher Premiership opposition, ending a run of 10 straight defeats against English clubs.
- Pau have won each of their last five home games in the Challenge Cup. Although three of those victories came by margins of less than seven points.
- Worcester have won both of their last two Challenge Cup games, however, they’ve not won three in a row since the opening three pool stage matches of 2012/13.
- Pau have scored the fewest points (21) and tries (2) of any side this season while Worcester have scored 65 points and eight tries.

Two converted tries from former All Black Colin Slade helped Pau defeat Pool 2 leaders Worcester Warriors 21-6 and keep them in the hunt for a quarter-final spot.
The former Highlanders fly-half provided Pau with the dream start after crossing over in the second minute, which was duly converted by the try scorer.
Two Worcester penalties before the break by 19-year-old Jamie Shillcock reduced Pau’s lead to 7-6 at the Stade du Hameau.
And the second half got under way in the similar fashion to the first with Slade stunning the Warriors defence by scoring and converting his own try once again within seconds of the restart.
Scrum-half Julien Blanc crossed over late on to extend Pau’s lead to 21-6 and replacement fly-half Antoine Hastoy secured the extra two points.
The two clubs will face each other once again next week at Worcester’s Sixways Stadium.
