Bath maintained their 100 per cent record in the Pool 5 as they made if four wins in a row with a powerful display at Firhill.
Having taken maximum points in a six-try thriller against their Scottish rivals at home the previous weekend they did the same again away from home thanks to a 82nd minute try by full back Mike Stephenson.
Despite falling behind to a second minute penalty by Glasgow outside half Dan Parks, The 1998 champions then turned on the power up front to move a step closer to the quarter-finals as they dominated the rest of the first half
Their powerful pack drove forward time after time, Olly Barkley levelled the scores with a 30 metre penalty after six minutes and slowly, but surely, the Bath pack turned their territorial advantage into points.
The home cause wasn’t helped when lock Tim barker for pulling down a driving maul and no sooner than he had reached than Bath struck.
Some astute pack play presented Bath scrum half Nick Walsh with the chance to dummy his way over from two metres out. Barkley added the conversion to give the visitors a 10-3 interval lead.
England lock Danny Grewcock, who was later named the Heineken man of the match then gave Bath the perfect start to the second half when he burst clear from 15 metres out to score a try which Barkley again improved.
But Glasgow hit back almost immediately as they built some pressure of their own and Canadian international prop Kevin Tkachuk gave them some real hope when he barged his way over for a try which Parks converted.
Glasgow built up a head of steam and came close to scoring on a number of occasions, but moments after centre Greame Morrison had left the field with a head wound then Barkley found a way through the home midfield to send replacement Tom Chessman racing in for try number three.
Then came that last-gasp effort by Stephenson after he had picked a path off his toes and Barkley’s conversion competed an excellent night’s work for the visitors
