Dragons entertained Rodney Parade to nine tries on Friday night, defeating Romanian outfit Timisoara Saracens 59-3 in their European Rugby Challenge Cup Pool 1 encounter.
Both sides came into the game unable to progress from their pool, and it was Timisoara who took the lead with Luke Samoa’s first-minute penalty to give the Romanian club a dream start in Newport.
However, two tries from centre Hallam Amos and a try apiece for Will Talbot-Davies and Rhodri Davies – the latter two efforts were converted by fly-half Jason Tovey – put the Welsh region 17-3 ahead at the break.

Talbot-Davies and scrum-half Davies added another try each, while Matthew Screech, Jordan Williams and Ben Fry also crossed the whitewash in the second half to give the Newport-based side a comprehensive win at Rodney Parade.
Dragons will now host in-form French side ASM Clermont Auvergne next week, while Timisoara head to Franklin’s Gardens for their final Challenge Cup game of the season.
