Castres Olympique opened their Heineken Cup account with a 41-22 win over Benetton Treviso.

The French side were desperate for a win after a narrow loss to London Wasps in Round 1, and got the bonus point victory their fans craved.

The home side opened the scoring after 12 minutes when prop Carl Hoeft powered over for a try converted by Gordon Ross.

But Treviso his back immediatly when wing Perziano darted over.

That only served to spur on the home side, who eventually outmuscled their Italian opponants – scoring a further four tries to clinch the bonus point victory.
