Bordeaux-Begles, joint top with Edinburgh Rugby in Pool 3 of the European Rugby Challenge Cup, will aim to pile the pressure on the Scottish side on Saturday by completing a quick double over TOP 14 rivals Agen at Stade Chaban-Delmas.
Bordeaux-Begles marched to a 73-3 victory at Agen in Round 3, the home club’s heaviest ever defeat in European competition, and are unbeaten in their last three games against TOP 14 opposition in Europe.
Key facts
- Agen are one of just three Challenge Cup teams with a 100 per cent goal-kicking success rate this season, landing all five.
- Bordeaux-Begles are one of only four Challenge Cup sides yet to be shown a card of any colour this term.
- Geoffrey Cros, of Bordeaux-Begles, made 169 metres at Agen last weekend, more than any other player in Round 3 of the Challenge Cup.

Bordeaux Begles remain unbeaten in European Challenge Cup Pool 3 after securing a bonus-point victory over winless Agen on Saturday afternoon.

After an early Agen penalty, Seta Tamanivalu got Bordeaux off and running by collecting a ball that had ricocheted off the post to touch down.
Santiago Cordero added a second try but a further Agen penalty via Leo Berdeu’s boot kept things interesting at half time with the hosts only 14-6 ahead.
That was as close as Agen got though, as Clement Meynadier capitalised on a quick-thinking tap penalty to go over in the first minute of the second half.
Beka Gorgadze thrust over after a pick-and-go for a fourth, bonus-point-sealing try on 63 minutes and Baptiste Germain rounded things off with a fifth.
